Individual Challenge


Events: Truck Push/Pull, Crucifix Hold, Max Log Press

Categories: Male, Female, Personal Trainer

Guidelines: Individual competitor results from the three events will be combined to generate a cumulative score. The best five cumulative scores will advance to the head-to-head challenge to determine final placing.


Team Challenge


Events: Truck Push/Pull, Crucifix Hold, Max Log Press, Forehead to Bar Chin-up Hold, Goblet Squat Ladder, Tire Flip

Teams:

  • Three people per team
  • Non-members are welcome
  • Only one trainer/staff member (current or former) may compete per team

Guidelines: Each team member must complete two events chosen from a combination of: Crucifix hold, Chin-up Hold or Goblet squat ladder and Max Log Press, Tire Flip or Truck Push/Pull. The team’s results from the six events will be combined to generate a cumulative score.

Event Details


Truck Push/Pull:

  • Best time
  • A Toyota Tacoma will be pushed a measured distance and then a harness will be placed on the athlete and they will pull it back
  • The scaled version will be a loaded sled push and harness pull for the same distance

Crucifix Hold:

  • Max time holding
  • The athlete will hold Clubbells at shoulder height for max time
  • Scaled version will be lighter weights all the way down to Dumbbells

Max Log Press:

  • Best lift within two minutes
  • The athlete will have two minutes to attain a one rep max of log press
  • Log lifted from the tires to overhead lockout will be judged as a rep
  • Scaled version is log to chest
  • Scoring will be a 50/50 weighting between absolute weight lifted and weight lifted vs bodyweight

Forehead to Bar Chin-up Hold:

  • Max time holding
  • The athlete will hold their forehead against the pull-up bar for max time
  • Underhand grip shoulder width apart
  • Time is up when the forehead leaves the bar
  • Scaled version will be banded hold

Goblet Squat Ladder:

  • For time
  • Four dumbbells of ascending weight will be placed in a circle around a Dynamax ball
  • Each dumbbell will be lifted for 25 reps before moving on to the next

Tire Flip:

  • Max tire flip repetitions in two minutes
  • The athlete will flip the tire one direction, switch to the other side and flip it back
  • The scaled version will be a tire of lower weight
