The colour green, in general, is linked with the good aspects of life, such as nature and health. Yet, when it comes to what we eat, it’s common people have a reluctance to “green” food choices.

Phytonutrients: Phytonutrients are found in plant-based foods, like dark leafy greens, and help protect against the development of diseases. These nutrients cannot be taken as supplements, you have to get them from nature by eating plant-based whole foods.
Protein: Many people think that consuming more vegetables and less meat means not getting enough protein. Protein is actually one of the nutrients that people are least likely to be deficient in, and plant-based foods contain more protein than most assume. Different greens are high in different amino acids (proteins), which is part of why it’s good to rotate your greens.
